Jono's new Frogs.

Ash you dont count. Ive seen your collection. If you even decided to post pictures, alot of "Collectors" would be make to look a fool!

i for one, would put my hand up and say, "i'm a fool". ha! would love to see pics of the Frogskinstein's Collection.

Jac/Jono and friends thankyou for the respectful remarks, i respect all the people on the forum who have a love of The O, but there are no pics of the Romeo Van Frogskinstein collection (now 745 pairs). i have no digital camera or knowledge of how to upload pics, at least for now. maybe some day. i respect every collector, even if you have 2 pairs, my only competition is with myself, i want 1000 pairs...the four figure man...i mean i know of nobody, no one, with 1000 pairs, so i dont care what you guys have, i am just looking to get 255 more pairs, then i can really sit down and relax.

Holy crap 745 pairs!!!!! Do you have an office space rented out for all of your glasses? That is more than what a couple of stores keep in stock. That must have taken a while to collect and congrats on the massive collection. Please figure out the picture thing soon

CONGRATS TO YOUR COLLECTION DUDE.
do you have them in displays or still in the boxes?

thankyou for the kind remarks. i have single mega and double mega towers plus the premium tower, most items on display are in boxes but these are mostly artists/signature items, frogskins, timebombs, crystal head, various items and pos. very few glass on display outside of its box. main problem with 100s of glass on display is dust...its easier to 'dust out' towers with less glass on open display. most pairs are in cabinets etc & not on show. there is no collector on this planet as fussy as me about original boxes and barcode labels, almost every box is mint or near mint/excellent, almost every glass is at least excellent, most are mint, with an acceptance of a lower condition grade in the case of extreme rarity only where there is almost no chance of finding another. i favour graphic/image barcode labels over text if there is a choice and all contents are complete. i just sent back a box with a 1 cm crease to a vault store who is returning a pristine one next week. people say "its not about quantity, its quality"...wrong, its both! to also have a good representation of rarity, wide spread of model and lens examples (13 unissued lenses), and variety of other items (not just glass). i think a true collector can never be satisfied, i certainly am far from it.

congratulations on having such a fine collection! Every collector has his or her own philosophy. imo I would have to disagree with the above assessment. To me it is just about quality and not quantity. having too much quantity usually means having pairs that you may not be too terribly excited about. I only have a collection of 300 pairs but there are items i wish i did not buy like the matte black radar with grey lens. if I could go back in time and redo the collection i would have gone for 100 super rare and awesome pairs rather than 200 super rare and awesome pieces surrounded by 100 bland pieces. Of course I could always sell the other 100 or so to make tha happen but that is another topic for another time.
