Juliet Gap between Orbital and Nose Bridge

efesaktas

Oakley Beginner
So i’m considering picking these Juliets up, and the seller claims the nose bridge has been tuned up recently and that it is tight. However, i can’t help but notice how big the gap between the orbital and nose bridge is especially at the upper part. As I don’t own any other pair of X-Metals there isn’t unfortunately anything I can compare it to. Is that normal (maybe just has to do with the angle of the picture?). Is it a sign of a botched tune-up? Or maybe does it mean that it is still loose? The price point is high enough that I’d very much not want to get them reserviced after buying.

Thanks a lot for the replies. As for the delamination, I asked the seller specifically for that, and his reply was that it is just dust. It does look that way to my eye as well, as the white particles look too small to be delamination, but I’ll have to see it with my own eyes to be sure. Would be a shame to have to return them

Well, despite having agreed on a price and made a deal, the seller decided to go sell it to someone else for a higher price. Tough luck I guess . Hopefully I can find an O-Brother here on the Exchange when I become eligible that can hook me up with my first pair of X-Metals 🙏
What was the price?

That gap is necessary. You should be more concerned about serials, screws, orbitals, and lense condition. You can always request no lenses for a better price.
