Been having a look and the Tincan carbons are something that might be good for a large headed fellow like myself. Had a look at wiretaps but seemed to small again for a large headed fellow. Any comments about these?

Yes $700 about $500 more than I want to pay for a pair that I may not like or use once I try them on.

To be clear, "metal" as in X-metal is something distinctly different (i.e. more expensive) than wire glasses like tincan and wiretap. I can't comment on Tincan, but the New Wiretap would work for a bigger face. It is basically a half wire with a bigger, square lens. I assume you don't mean the original Wiretap which has a pretty small lens and no spring hinges, which is a detriment on a bigger face.

Yes should of said when I say metal was not after the expensive X-metal but a frame that is not plastic (o-matter) but made of metal including ear stems
