My first Juliets - Plasma/Emerald

That was my very first X metal as well... a great choice! I acquired mine a couple decades ago in MT when a cow hand came in my work with a beat to death Juliet wiggling loose on his face. I told him he had a great piece there and we talked for a minute about it. A couple of weeks later he sold it to me for $100. I can still remember the adrenaline and happiness that brought me because that was when I was young and buying diapers and feeding 3 mouths so I just did not have the money back then to drop $250 or more. Fortunately it was still the pre lux era and I was able to get on the phone and call Oakley and get a new pair of OEM lenses. I kept those glasses for a very long time until my aging face started to not compliment them as well and ended up selling them when they started to sit in my case unused. It was the hardest piece I ever let go of because of the memory but it is being worn and loved today and that I am grateful for!

Wear em, rock em, and be proud bud!

Wow! Thank you for sharing. It's amazing to think what these piece of metal or plastic meant to us at a certain point in our life. I can definitely relate to the adrenaline and happiness you felt, after months of fantasizing about finally owning one of this Juliet, and when I finally got my hands on one, It felt like I found a treasure. 😅

It's hard to find a seller here in the middle east, we drove 150 km to get this Juliet from a fellow Filipino here in the UAE. Actually, the tougher part is convincing my wife to let me spend this much on a pair of sunglasses. We both grew up poor in a third-world country, so the idea of spending this kind of money on something like this felt almost alien to us. Well, it still does ... we’re still poor 😂, just fortunate enough now to afford a few things we truly like.

The funny part is, this all started because I was just looking for some running sunglasses. Then I stumbled onto the Oakley x Satisfy eye jacket, fell into this rabbit hole and next thing I know, I’m spending hours and hours every day browsing and refreshing pages like a fiend, just hoping to score that one good deal 😂 It's an addiction now.
I absolutely rock the Juliets, and probably wear them more than I should 😂 partly because I love them, and partly because they’re the only pair I have right now. Funny enough, I have an XX Twenty and a Minute on the way, but the Eye Jacket that started it all is still elusive.

If you are patient and learn the hobby and get to meet some members and make friends you will find things start coming at a better price than on the open market. You would probably be better off with a heroin addiction money wise but at least with this you have something that will only gain value not depreciate. The Rabbit hole is deep man so pick your passions and pursue them but don't get caught up in the "everything I see is so darn cool" spell or your wife may commit a murder not divorce 😂

I certainly hope so, else I'll only get to have Oakleys once or twice a year (xmas or my birthday) 😂

See! This is what I keep telling my wife! It's an "Investment". 😂

For now, I'm locked in with Eye Jacket, Minutes and XX Twentys. My wife and I run a lot, and we both have small faces.I learned that these models are great for smaller faces and ideal for sports, so I figured these are perfect ones we can actually share. Following @wilonghair68 advice to get her on board with this addiction 😂

Or do what I did and go solo to become a full time Oakley collector...
