Yes, really red for fire. I have some fires from a 4th gen frame that externally you'd struggle to tell from 24k, there's that little red or orange in them.

It's a shame they took so much of the middle out of them and you're definitely right with the 24k look. I've a late spare pair also that you'd struggle to tell from also!
