@sharjt I'm not sure how well you can see it but it’s matte when compared to any other EJ I have. It seems to be uniform across the frame but I supposed it could have just lost the clear. I got it in a bundle of **** in a rep case from a once O rep.

Ive been looking for an arm ever since but can’t find a matte one.

My Cobalt / Red are somewhere between the two of those, always have been. Standard retail stock (Sports Vision Bend, Oregon, 1999). I daren't wear them anymore though, I look after my 'glasses religiously but that didn't stop my 1st gen Blood / Black and Fuel / Gold from breaking into lots of pieces through normal use

Incidentally, my deceased Blood / Black (bought around '95) were fairly high gloss, my Fuel / Gold were very matt like @SiRacer420's 1st Gen Cobalts. The matt paint didn't stand the test of time and was peeling badly around the bridge by the time the frames spontaneously fell into several pieces.

The way I understand it there is a difference in finish between first and second gen, I have pairs that have different finishes.
