Oakley Satisfy Planataris Warranty / Repair

boonga

Oakley Beginner
I use my Oakley x Satisfy Planataris for regular running. I had them in my pocket, and when I fell, the frame and both eyestem hinges shattered. These were purchased through Satisfy's website on 6/30/25, and I live about 20 min from an Oakley store. Does anybody have experience getting something like this fixed? Or any ideas on the best course of action for getting these repaired, fixed, or replaced? I'm expecting I'll have to DIY something, but leaving out room for some hope!

Well, unfortunetly, Oakley/lux wont touch them. The second you tell them they were purchased from a third party they will tell you to go to them to get rid of you. Even if they are actively working with that party.

Even if you did get them from Oakley/Lux, they will ask you if you have the protection plan. If you didnt, they will tell you tough luck. I mean rightfully so, its kinda like going back to a car dealer after a car accident and asking if they will fix it under warranty.

If you did have the protection plan all they would do is replace it. If they dont have an exact copy, they send the closest thing. Even with that they may not cover the full cost to replace from my understanding. Ive never bought that plan though because its a scam.

Now, POTENTIALY, you may be able to remove the pieces from the frame and replace the arms. When looking at one of my pairs there are small divots on the frame that are normally only there if they have nubs on the arms that need to be snapped into place.

You could use a needle nose plyers to hold and pull the piece out while using a small flat head screw driver to gently pry the frame at that joint open. MAYBE. Because I've never seen one apart that may also not be the case. Do this at your own risk. Then the issue is getting new or used arms which would be nearly impossible since they aren't meant to come off.

If thats not the case, then the arms are pinned and your screwed. Pinned arms are generally not removable. Then throw them away. But save the lenses and sell them for some money back if they are good.

Actually they do have temples for this particular collab available on (Assistenza, riparazioni e ricambi Oakley | Oakley® Italia).
The price is 118 USD. But you need to buy and change them yourself.

When I tried to order the temples that way for podpah version all got was the rubber coated "earsocks". For me that was fine because thats what I wanted them for because they were yellow.

Milage may vary though.
earsocks for 120 usd?

I get it. My guessnis because they are the wire base with rubber co molded over it.

I would say though that might be just my case. I regulary buy parts whe they have sales on the service site and over the last year or so its gotten weird. I order stuff and get the wrong stuff with the right part number on the bag, get lenses that are the wrong color or am missing parts and have to go though CS to find out they are out of stock or were listed by mistake.

Without a technical drawing available its tough to call them out.
