@Jheyvip I have some black NIR in my carbon XS if you want to see them. I didnt want to post anything on your FS thread tho.Username Hidden said:Dillon NIR

Username Hidden said:Ikon are okay if they have them for your frame, but they smudge constantly despite having decent optical quality. i still look at it like Ikon<Linegear<OEM Oakley, but Linegear is the only aftermarket that is good aside from dillons, etc. Dillions may be the bombtastic, but too rich for my blood. OEM in most varieties runs $100-125 from @Chris A Hardaway or OXM parts on ebay (both RJ and @scienergy are solid dudes). Revant elite are said to be better than their lesser lines, but based on the crap quality of their $30-40 lenses, for the coin, you may as well get Linegear and get color options and quality. ($50-60 set before shipping depending) @Linegear Japan rubbers are also awesome aftermarket replacements. Walleva is total dog sheet and i too would rather a frame have nothing than those.
Thank you my friend )Username Hidden said:Great seller and high quality frames everytime.
Username Hidden said:To a point, perhaps. IMO, although Linegear lenses look good from the outside, the optical quality is good, but doesn't blow me away. I'm a polarized guy, so most of their offerings there are bland grey based and aren't taper corrected, last I read. Both Revant Elite polarized (don't bother with lesser offerings) and Ikon polarized are taper corrected. My eyes pick that difference up in a split second.
The ~$60 range Revant Elite runs for most frames already cut doesn't hurt as bad as a $100-$135 custom cut from oem donors.
Ikon doesn't currently have XS lenses either, so you're in the ~$85 range if you are set on an Ikon and havd that lens sent to be cut.
But I digress as this topic is beat to death in another thread where homers, fanboys, and practical users alike weigh in on it.
Regardless, definitely in the boat of the seller leaving the lenses out if the sale. It's like a dealership offering a "pinstripe decal upgrade" at the end of the sale that doesn't add value and look cheap.
J appears to always have quality frames with good bones - some with closed earstems that travel more than James Harden... - but, IMHO, unmount those colorful Pringle can lid lenses.
Good luck, @Jheyvip!
Username Hidden said:$100-$135 for custom cuts?
I source my own donors and never spend anywhere even near that. $80ish tops and thats if i REALLY want a certain lens. Which makes quality aftermarket lenses moot to me because theyre basically the same price as custom cuts. I usually end up around $65 for a custom cut...gotta be savvy and do a little work for it or else youre gonna pay for it in the end!

Username Hidden said:My math is correct. At $60 a donor lens (if a proper BNIB/LNIB deal is found) and roughly $40 to ship it to and have it cut be the Champ, it's done correctly by a professional whom has never let me down.
Done my own cuts in the past with a dremel for beaters with decent success, but for X-Metal, I want it done right.
Kudos to your deal finding ability.![]()
