☆☆☆Official 2017 NFL Thread☆☆☆

Funny you say that, at the end of the game we all felt the game ended the exact opposite of the Superbowl. We were left scratching our head saying......"how the heck did that happen?"

I didn't tune in to any post game but i did hear a comment from Brady this morning that he felt the team didn't have any urgency at the end of the game

As fans, we get emotional and caught up in that emotion. Unbelievable SuperBowl victory, off season major acquisitions, big hoop-la banner ceremony, all with the media B.S. fueling us. Then an epic fail opposite of what the team pulled off last year, followed by bewilderment

I wish I could compartmentalize more like the players. Last year's SuperBowl = ancient history. Block out all the other stuff in between. Prep for game. Loose game. Work on what you did wrong to get better for next game. On to N'Orleans!
I want the Patriots to crush the Saints. It's the only game I want them to win.

Chief's Safety Eric Berry out the rest of the season with a Ruptured Achilles Tendon.

Judge grants Ezekiel Elliot temporary restraining order so it looks like he'll be playing at least a few weeks, if not the season..

I expect this to turn out like Deflate Gate for the most part. At the end of the day, no judge will want to open up the can of worms that comes with opposing the CBA agreement and Elliot will serve a 6 game suspension at some point.

That punishment portion of the cba is going to cause a lockout next time they need to negotiate a cba

That, and the players are going to want more money. They're all jealous of what the NBA and MLB players are making. Mainly the recent NBA contracts.

Do I agree with the current portion of the cba that deals with punishment? No. But THEY agreed to it (yea it was a terrible idea to agree to it) but they did, and they need to live with it until the current one is up.

Did everyone agree to the current cba? No. Were t
Correct they agreed too it. But they will never make nba money. 53 man rosters vs 12 man rosters. They will want more money, and they will get it. But the shield won't want to give up any power.

I agree, they will never make nba money for that exact reason. It's all about give and take.. So if they want more money, they have to give up power, and that's exactly what happened in the last CBA. Now they're going to want more money, and have the shield give up power.. What does the NFL get in return?

I don't agree with Goodell being the judge, jury and punisher, but it is what it is currently. They do need a better checks and balance system. But until the CBA is up, that's the way it's going to be and should be until the next cba.
