Olympic Frogskins

Wow - I'm surprised they've sold so few! Might be because they've made it prohibitively difficult to purchase anywhere but the UK, but perhaps not.

Was in the Oakley store in Covent Garden in London on Saturday. Of the 250 pairs of Union Jack Frogskins produced, they still have about 150 pairs left. They are selling them for £175. They were in the process of shipping out 6 pairs to America, 3 pairs of which were for one guy alone!

I don't know who you spoke to but that doesn't sound right. They don't ship from the UK to the US, and that is as told to me by the store manager as I asked for a member on here.

It was one of the staff who told me - he said his manager had arranged it all.

If anyone wants any sent from the UK just let me know and I will see what I can do. I am up in London most weekends and only a 30 minute tube ride away from the Oakley store.

Yep - Covent Garden got all 250 pairs of Union Jack Frogskins as an exclusive! :)

Can't be true. I picked up a pair of Union Jack at the Oakley Times Square this morning. They still had 1 Old Glory and 5 Union Jack left, if anyones still looking.

Well, this is a bummer -- email excerpt from my sister who sent me the Union Jacks from the UK via FedEx...

"Ran into some issues with your sunglasses. *They were turned back for lack of a drop ball test certificate. *It is a safety test that the US requires and even though these were manufactured in the US, they can't cross the border without one. *Also, they wouldnt allow new glasses to enter without a tax ID certificate. Roar."

Any bright ideas? She said she may try a different carrier. Not sure why FedEx went weirdo on these, but I'm hoping it can be resolved shortly.

Again that's misinformation, anything you hear from an employee at an Oakley store you have to take with a big grain of salt. They told me they wouldn't be getting an Old Glory's and 3 days later they had them.
