Painting Oakley Holbrook frames

i have a pair of ruby fade holbrooks, apparently these are discontinued, I’m missing and arm so I was thinking of finding one to complete the pair and painting them. What is the best kind of paint to use ?

I used a rattle can for the few frames I painted.

I'll try to find a picture of one of the Frogs Zach did for my mom for her new C7. It's black with Corvette Red faded arms.

That red and black frog a few posts up has survived my mom’s purse for quite a while. Almost a year now I think. She isn’t what you would call careful with her glasses. The finish looks like new though.

I don’t know for sure but I would imagine it has a lot to do with the person that paints them. You let Zach do it and you get what we have there, you let me do it and we’ll, it’ll be less than durable lol

Actually a Fives Squared I painted has held up pretty well considering I didn’t clear coat it. It was a rattle can of metallic red.
