I searched and couldn’t find. Do we have any idea what the production numbers are for each x-metal over entire run? It would help me understand the price difference between each model🥰

interestingly enough I don't think the production numbers/model are a good indicator. The most plentiful AFAIK is the Juliet and the least are Xsquared, R2, and Half X but those are the cheapest while some rare Juliet's with limited run fetch the highest prices. Romeo is a good example, although a lot of them were produced a significant amount were returned/traded in due to warranty issues, such as the Bone finish staining, & discoloration on the frame and the spider cracks for the lenses. This raised the cost for pristine Bone finish frames and intact lenses. I think the run per sku is a better indicator of which we have a thread here somewhere that @cacatman created - there is also market effect of where I started a thread (and havent updated for a while) here:

Xmetal Valuations ranked by value all things equal

And you are right, demand has a lot more to do with supply then perhaps production numbers would indicate. I mean lopaka has 30 mars🥳🥰 imagine if 100 people had 30 mars a piece👹 He really should sell me one🤣🤣 jk thanks for the link!

@dragonvoi. Excellent summary and explanation. Values are definitely tied up with production numbers, desirability (collectability) and longevity, but as you pointed out, production numbers don't necessarily tell the whole story.

An example are the blends frogskin release. I think only 30 were sold as a collectors release for very high prices, so presumably, most of them are still in the wild.

On the other hand, while only 30 Freeman Transport Jawbones were released, these were given to employees, so most have been used and subsequently lost/destroyed in the wild, which means there are far less around, and therefore does affect pricing.

P.S. Is this the page you're talking about?

Yessir! that is the link.

RE: the limited numbers, I just thought of a set that really IMHO went the opposite direction due to some shortcomings from Oak-xoticca. THe 3D printed leather Mars, nice packaging BUT no serial & too high of a MSRP.
