Hi everyone

Due to the recent events in this section, with a disagreement. I feel like we need to make sure it doesn't happen again.
First of all always fallow these rules.

Be Respectful​

Though it should go without saying, you should be respectful of other members on this forum at all times! Here are some tips:

• Don't flame/argue for no reason
• If you have a problem with a member, you can contact a Moderator or Administrator. Do not start an argument in a public thread!
• If you simply don't like a member, Ignore them! This is straight out of first grade.

Like the rules says, if you have a problem with someone always contact a mod before posting anything public.
Don't post @mods, we don't get a alert for that. Use the report function instead.
If you don't like or agree with a member, just ignore that member then. Simple as that.

One reason this happened was that a certain member's threads were bumped up by the OP so that the entire first page only showed that member's threads.
A simple fix to this is that we set either a official or unofficial rule,, that says that a member can only bump 5 of his own threads for 24 or 48 hours.
Of course, it would be okay to bump as many of other members' threads as you like in the meantime.

This looks like the right place to say this. I do apologize for how things went down. Especially bumping other members threads and involving them in the dispute in that manner. That part of my judgement was not kosher and I regret it. Hopefully I cleaned up all of that and your threads are back to their original state.

As for the other stuff between me and all parties I will handle that in private and remain silent until the day we get the whole story and all sides.

Please guys… do not come to me looking for sympathy if your feelings are hurt over something. I am a good friend and good ear but if I sense something is off I will not be the one you want to console with because I am honest and a straight shooter and that might hurt your feelings even more. If you want the truth though you can count on me every time.

Again my apologies… honestly this whole thing is quite embarrassing it got to the point we all showed our arses.

Let’s move on and have fun again!!!

Oh, it was great. Being called a person who buys at retail and sells for eBay prices was a lot of fun. I can’t even remember the last time I had a sale thread on here. And being called stinky for laying with dogs was also lot of fun. Straight shooter eh? I’m going to go take a shower now and wash the stink off and follow my zero personality leader along with a good friend who was called a sheep . What a joke.

This episode, 2 days ago, in which an established member @XxRuMKaxX attacked, insulted, and lied about my closest friends @The Proprietary Molecule @The Koonce @Jon the Don , raised several personal issues for me that forces me to rethink my involvement in OF.

1. It started because of a private ME Deal gone sour. Remember no one was scammed only @XxRuMKaxX ego got brused.
First of all ME should never have infiltrated the Oakley Forum. I paid my lifetime membership to the Oakley Forum and nothing else. I feel betrayed.
I'm not interested in ME at all. Now, 30% of the posts just on the first page are about ME.

I wonder how many Die-Hard Oakley guys/girls like me, think like me and want ME on OF to be gone.

2. OF rules were broken, members were insulted, lies spread, and no moderator stepped in. Only after I reported @XxRuMKaxX posts the next day were the posts removed. The damage to the reputation of my friends was already done. This is absolutely unacceptable to me. Where were the 10 moderators that day? Or why did no one take action? Or are mods instructed to only take action when members report posts? Or were no mods present?

For a long time, the main page not only displayed which members were present, but also which moderator was currently present. It needs to be displayed again which mods is currently present at any time. Or the lack of.

3. So far there were no consequences for @XxRuMKaxX . He did not get time out or banned.
Apparently, a simple apology was enough and everything is forgotten and back to normal. What else does a member have to do before the Member faces consequences?

Members there are insulting each other in the most vile way. Is this thread exempt from basic forum rules? Why isn't more action taken?
Absolutely unacceptable to me.

If I feel that the forum does not protect me from the arbitrary behavior of other members and my reputation is damaged, then I am forced to stay away from OF.

Ignoring Members is not the ideal answer.
Navigating is much more difficult if one has about 20 active Members like me on ignore.
But I'll do it, because the time I set aside for OF is valuable to me, and I won't let members I don't like or I don't trust ruin it for me.

Slandering two of my wonderful friends @Jon the Don and @The Koonce in a baseless, unhinged diatribe is shameful and embarrassing public behavior.

By allowing this to go on for so long, without intervention, the moderators on duty left The Forum down plain and simple.

I will simply it for you then, be nice, report a post when there is a issue or contact a mod.
Or ignore the member.
