I couldn't open the arms for those three in the photo they will interfere and possibly scratch each other. I will not take that risk especially for the price I paid for OEM lenses.I am in Kansas. (Sad trombone)
That post with its two photos is possibly the most informative post I have seen on X-Metal frame sizes to date. I saved them for reference. I agree with you that Juliets should be thought of for medium to larger heads and faces that are regular (or at least not as suitable for narrow faces). I really think what the photos illustrate buck what has been bandied about as conventional wisdom in terms of the various frame sizes.
I think there are only only two ways to improve on it for general X-Metal frame information in your photos. First would be to include more frames (obviously this may not be possible). And second to open the temples on the Half-X, Penny, and Mars. (supersharp also had a good picture series but you putting them on the graduated measuring pad really improved the photo especially when you lined them up as you did.)
But further to the point, I now wonder if I should in fact be considering a trip to Mars. But those frames look to be even more expensive than the Penny.![]()
I do agree, I can lable them better. When I return back home in a few months I can see what I can do to measure them better. I am missing 3 xmetal frames. The R2, XX, and XS. Once I get them, I will own all 8 frames and could provide an objective observation. Thank you for the feedback, and the nice compliments. Feel free to ask me any questions, and I will do my best to point you in the right direction without losing too much cash.
