Honestly its kinda cool to find some of the cool models designs being applied to modern models with their own modern twist... Stuff like that I actually would appreciate more of from the Oakley of today. The past was cool with all the MUZM stuff and collab EJs but stuff like this is what our kids will be wanting to own for nostalgia and pay stupid prices to have them

Yeah these are pretty cool and unique for sure. I do like the whole “mistake” branding thing. Another pair in another color would kinda ruin that pitch. I’m guessing and kinda hoping this is one and done. Can’t wait to get mine.

Yeah it’s a cool pitch but they could still do others. “It started out as a mistake…”
Besides, the black (or chrome) ones are already out there in pics. I’d love one of those. I really don’t even care for the gold/blue colorway that much, especially the blue. But I really wanted a pair and with no guarantee that other colors were coming, grabbed them.

Why are they still available

Because they are ugly as F**K and not many people would wear these but they are way out there and with the packaging theme make them attractive to be a case whore. Oakley has drained allot of peoples wallets with all these releases back to back as well so I am sure many who would buy normally are passing for that reason. I was going to pass until I saw the packaging.

They look awesome. The Cyclops Encoder are the ones that are ugly

In a lot of regions, these have been sold out since the weekend (I’m in Australia). Particularly where they ship straight from the distribution centre in China.
