Indeed Brother. Too darn nice! Feels like an eggshell in my hands. Course I've had it less than 24 hours. That's why I started calling it "My Precious."

Turns out Painters Tape is not quite as flexible as I'd thought. Still a successful test and the template looks pretty close. Next iteration I'll use some Matte Black Gaffer's Tape I have. It's cloth so should flex a bit better and any adhesive should still remove cleanly.

I need to be able to put the template on, make the pencil marks, take it off and lay it flat to be able to better see the punch locations. Then transfer the punch locations onto the 3D model. Print a couple off, then I'll do the first test on some leather.

Then when everything seems tight, I'll have a couple stainless steel dies made. So far, so good.

Next step as outlined above...same template process but with cloth gaffer tape. See if I can get a more accurate placement of the punch holes. Probably the last bit of progress for today...all in all I'm happy with it

DANG! It’s always sumpin! Got the right sized Saddle Harness Needles today and all the darn waxed thread I have is too thick! Weaver Leather Supply here I come

Paper template glue stuck on Matte Black Gaffer Tape…Hope this flexibility is closer to leather for experimentation
