Still waiting on sandblasting media sooooooo...

Sooo…I initially had trouble as my sandblast media was long used up…so I cleaned out my cabinet and ordered more. Only about 1/4’s worth now…so I can blast for like 30 seconds. Should have the other 30 pounds worth tomorrow. Then the Neo Jacket orbitals are going in.

Come on…you can admit it…that warm matte copper is cool. I’m wondering though if this is common…it’s allegedly C-5 which has copper, aluminum, and titanium…are they all like this or does the anodized finish affect it? Was a top coat, the mahogany, a matte metallic-chrome layer and lastly was rose-copper before the more stable copper color here…fascinating…indeed

Side note…the stem double screws are Torx T-3. Luckily I have a full set.

Works been fairly crazy. Hadn’t had much time in the Chop Shop.

So got a NSJ2 from @Zeach a while back.
Can’t be completely cleared. But Close.

Still a bit too go yet but thought I’d share the progress.

For my taste…these are a Quantum Leap improvement over the original Mahogany…which wasn’t bad…just too shiny and slick.

I have no clue what metal they used for the icons and the temple armature…but I’m glad they did it that way. Makes a great contrast to the warm copper of the frame.

These frames may not be MARS…but they sure do look like they should be “on” MARS!

Sure hope the Icelandic Wolf Fish will lay on this well…
