hey guys, something cool happened to me today. I thought I would regale to you the story about my custom Oakleys. I hope you enjoy.
On July 17, 2019, I woke up and left my home to go to work. At the end of the street, I had parked my car, and to my surprise it was gone.
I had gotten home late the night before, somewhere between 11-11:30pm. Because I was going to work again first thing in the morning. I decided to leave my custom Oakley Half Jacket 2.0's in my bag with my other valuable things in my car.
That was a mistake.
About a month later, police had found and recovered my car. All things considered, it was in good shape, but all my things were gone.
I filed a claim with my renters insurance for my lost items and ordered another pair of custom Oakleys, made exactly the same as the stolen pair. With my new ones in hand, I moved on.
Several weeks after the recovery I received some legal documents in the mail. Surprised and confused I opened the envelope to find out a trial had been scheduled. They caught someone in possession my Oakleys! They were being accused of multiple charges but nothing having to do with my car.
But how did they link the glasses to me? Well, when I had ordered them online, I got them engraved and I had my name and phone number etched into the lens.
Due to there being an ongoing and active series of investigations my glasses were linked to, they kept them for safe keeping. But yesterday an officer called me asking if I wanted them back. Of course I did. So today, I stopped by the building and now, after 7 years, I have them back. Check it out!
