Hi all, not been on the forum in a long time, thought I’d contribute something valuable to other members. A few months back I restored my cube. Got a fed up of every time I brushed past it I got a brown rust strain on my clothing or hands.
For the main body I used 0000 wire wool and went in a circular motion. For the suds I used a product called “Rustins” painted it on with a small paintbrush, left to soak for 5 minutes and wiped off with a microfibre cloth. Repeat for stubborn surface rust. I think it turned out very nicely. Some may prefer the patina look, guess it’s personal preference!
