Welcome to M Experiments Releases and Rumors

You could be right. I mean no one does that for a 30 year old Oakley design with a monochromatic flame on it, right?
It was as you said a 30 year old frame not an existing one in a different colour, with respect your point is mute

Why? Oakley is sending out old frames in new colours and everyone is going crazy to get them? There is a clear comparison there.

Planteris is one of the better modern designs in the last few years. I picked up an Ellipse too. Most everything else is a pass for me.

And with OCP it is a bunch of same frames in different colours. I have 10+ versions of Holbrook.

I think there is a big difference between something you “couldn’t “ buy for 20 plus years versus something available now but in a different colour, but I will respectfully stand down my friend 👍

I do have to point out that the whole flame series of NSJ have been readily available on eBay every single day since the inception of eBay... So yea... not like you could not find one if you wanted it. Most were $80 on average too before Lux blew it up with the rerelease... now fools are paying $270

But that’s second hand, it’s not a company rereleasing a product regardless of price

and that is why collecting is fun... I might see the "second hand" which I had many pass through "second hand" for $80 that were never worn over the years, as the better to collect and hold onto while newer guys to the hobby love the re releases that are cool but in the end a money grab by a monopoly corporation. You might like one color and I might like another. You might like Oakley only and I might like Oakley and MEx both. A few might like MEx more than Oakley. This does not mean one collector is doing it better than the other because we all feel differently about how we collect. Our gatherings are a reflection of who we are as individuals and that is why you will not find two collections that are exactly the same anywhere on this planet. So to argue over which Jannard company is the best is pointless and meaningless but to actually insult a Jannard is ludicrous (not necessarily aiming that at you personally).

Fact is the Jannards built it all and they did so by NOT releasing ANYTHING that was NEAR perfect. They will only release something when it is 100% perfect and as they say "they are proud of it". For anyone upset they did not jump straight into a Medusa or a X metal has no clue how a business is built. Why would they repeat themselves at what would be a loss of money just to give you a Medusa right here and now?

Mmm ok a lot of extra stuff added there that was not discussed and I don’t have the patience to dissect it, so ok 👍

Like I said... it was not all aimed at you but more at the whole conversation that has occurred on two different threads now. Take what is applicable to you and leave the rest behind...
