I'm with ya bro. I own zero metals as well. Seriously been thinking about getting a juliet though. But like @cyclerdoug said, I'm worried once I start I'll be in trouble with the wife, well MORE trouble!

Here's what you do, every time you get an X-metal, you do something nice for your lady (flowers, nice dinner, breakfast in bed, or maybe a present), and hopefully she will not interfere.
But what the hell do I know since I only have to deal with girlfriends, so I don't have that X-Metal / Pissed off Wife problem.

It's definitely gonna take some caressing to jump from $200 o-matter oaks to $500+ x-metals!
