Fantastic lookin lens......it's a shame they aren't done in a Polarised version (or am I wrong?)Bright sunny day and yet I subconsciously picked up the Prizm Trail pair while stepping out.

Aftermarket lenses have a polarized equivalent, called Cobalt Rose. Someone here reviewed it on the aftermarket lenses thread (Guess it was @Brad_W ? ) I didn't find the aftermarket lens particularly pleasing due to the weird red tint it applied to reflections - a wet spot on the road would end up looking like a pool of blood!Fantastic lookin lens......it's a shame they aren't done in a Polarised version (or am I wrong?)
Yeah.... I bought a set of the MRY Cobalt/RoseAftermarket lenses have a polarized equivalent, called Cobalt Rose. Exactly. I just bought them for the doomsday situation when my OEM lenses bite the dust and Oakley stops making Prizm Trail lenses.Yeah.... I bought a set of the MRY Cobalt/Rose
I like them.....but the Red polarisation is very, very weird.....the reflection of the black dash surface or any other surface in the car has a crazy red hue to it.
I do wear them in poor visibility conditions while driving.
In contrast, the mirror on the MRY Cobalt Rose is pretty strong and seems to have AR coating too - but they are thinner than OEM. If only I could swap with your Papaviva non-polarized lenses. Sadly, Papaviva dont ship here.Someone should make an Orange base-tint Blue-Mirror lens to fit this requirement.
The Cobalt-Rose is sort of a Persimmon & the Cobalt-Blue is very faint.
The lack of anti-reflective coating on the cheapies does kind of ruin it.
The PapaViva lens I got was supposed to have anti-reflective coating & was almost too thick to fit into my Smith Parallel 2, but also came NOT Polarized.
Next week I will receive a pre-owned translucent Yellow Flak 2 set with the real Prizm Trail lens, so will be able to compare then.
