I think it adds to the "mystique" of the forum. lol
Kind of like the infamous TV characters in shows that you never actually get to see. There was Vera on Cheers, Maris on Frasier, Mrs. Wolowitz on Big Bang Theory, Ugly Naked Guy on Friends (probably actually a good thing), Diane on Twin Peaks, and Charlie on Charlie's Angels just to name a few. I kind of like having a few of those around here personally.
All of the build-up just adds to the intrigue...

Yeah, Wilson. But I would liken that much more to what Kronin suggested with the Medusa idea and the bandana. We got to see the top half of Wilson's head pretty regularly...
