Age-inappropriate slang. How many times are glasses described as "sick" on here? In the context of a 14 year-old skater "boi" or an excitable teen on Xbox chat it might pass, but for men in their 20s/30s/40s with enough disposable income for a sunglass collection?
Maybe it's English reserve. I think I could probably muster a "moderately unwell". As in "I say my man, that's a moderately unwell pair of Juliets you have there. Top hole!"
