X metals are metal, not plastic.

I think people can do what they want, and everyone is allowed an opinion...popular or unpopular.
You may find value in unmolested titanium framed sunglasses as a symbol of mastery in industrial design. Others may find value in expressing themselves by customizing these pieces of art to suit their taste.
I have three masterfully customized X-Metals...one hyper mega polished R1, a black semi-gloss R1 and a purple anodized Juliet, but the rest of my X collection is OEM. They are all beautiful in my eyes. They all suit my taste.

This is just my two cents. You got purists, artists, and fakes. Each are different to everyone's preferences. Yes there are weirdos who like fakes. (Hard to believe right?) You can't quantify aesthetics it is all subjective. I do understand why some want to be OEM, but sooner or later there won't be any left. If we can predict the future, customs will only remain. Unless Oakley 3D prints more muzms. (Which are not the same as casted xmetals)
