Damn you in that super awesome Government health care? We both work in private sector small businesses. Health care coverage is ok at best.

Consider yourself lucky. I know teachers typically dont have great wages and have a very difficult job. The pensions and healthcare are what make that a great career path.

My wife has a fairly awful pension. But summers off and the health care make it worth it.

I think at the time for me, my dad wasn't a citizen yet and didn't have insurance since all his software engineer work was on contract so it cost him like $10K to have me.

Prices are crazy if you don't have good health care.
