While I haven't had experience with our other forum lens cutting specialists, I have had several dealings with IH and know he's doing some really great work. Perhaps he warrants a sticky thread to discuss cutting requests and non-transaction related suggestions? Just putting it out there for mod consideration.
He's shown us the difference in optical quality of those knock off lenses vs OEM and has definitely made a believer out of me!

Now this is a good idea. I've also had several dealings with IH and have been extremely pleased on all occasions. He guarantees his work 100% and ensures his customers are 100% satisfied. I will continue to deal with him in the future.

Thanks for starting this thread Mike. I do appreciate it. I would like to know after the recieving of my lenses, how each customer likes them and compares them to factory lenses. This is a new deal for X-Metals---to have a Oakley lens, that is cut close to identical as the original factory ones, that can or might change the way we look at them, and put values on them. The word "Survivor" might have to start being a specific value compared to a no scratch condition lens. A new category as you will. Romeo 1 specific for now.

I would like to know if any members have suggestions, (besides a R2, working on that one), of lens colors, group buys etc.... If a member feels they have had a negative experience, I would like that put here too. Good and Bad. Nothing is perfect, so this will allow for improvement.

New products for the month of October coming up---- Juliet T-6 screws, Penny T-6 screws, Romeo 1 Screws, XS Screws.

Working on that screw, not sure if that one can be done. Waiting on my final answer from a manufacturer making them for me.

The Half-X bits are also in demand. The hinge threaded rod screw may not be all that difficult. The inner bits on the other hand...

I just received a set of custom cut Romeo 1 Fire Iridium lenses from IH and they are quality cuts. I tried them in two of my Romeo 1s, an early Titanium frame and a later Plasma frame. I think they fit better than the OEM lenses for each frame. I am very impressed on the cuts considering I did not have to send in a R1 frame. Will be ordering a few more back up sets in the near future.
Excellent job IH :drinks:

EDIT: Just wanted to add that I have purchased some Romeo 1 cuts from other board members and I have even spent like 10+ hours trying to cut my own. I prefer IH Romeo 1 cuts hands down as his cuts fit nice and snug and slide easily into the frame.

Hi, As soon as you get a solution for the lenses on the R2 could you let me know as I would definantly want a pair.

Thanks

Here's the most recent job Andrew did for me. Mars ruby polarized fit and look great:

I would definitely like to see some R2 options. I'll offer up a pair to use for mock up if needed.
Hey, and while your working on hardware...get some of the T5 orbital pins for the R2!:D

These things are next to impossible to find.
