I think it counts as x-metal. Just got this yesterday. Not sure if I am using it correctly, but it's pretty cool. The one on top is my new Polished/Blue (JBxxxxx) that showed up yesterday as well.

Thanks. I assume that I am using it correctly? Seems kind of strange how two pair lay straight and the rest lay the ear stems on the ground. I never saw one in a store.

To fit 5 frames into a small space, it seems to work fairly well. Haven't decided yet if I want to keep it long term.
