Question about Fire Iridium Polarized Lenses

I kept my original fire iridium. They are so scratched they're unusable. I definitely don't remember them doing this. If memory serves, they weren't as dark green either, but those also weren't polarized.

Vaguely related, this post reveals more about the "anatomy" of fire's base tint...

Can the iridium coating affect the base tint appearance?

Elsewhere in the thread is the same test on some other lenses; violet in particular is quite interesting...

Both my (relatively old) FI and FIP look like this (just checked). How green/orange/brown it looks from the back depends a lot on lighting (angle mostly), both look like the ones in Kronin's post when worn. Both give a bit of "ghosting" effects, but it is mostly noticeable when driving/looking at indoor spot lights (just tried)
