Question for Oakley Penny

Hi everyone! Just want to ask, I am newly collector of Oakley sunglass paticular to Xmetal and polished type.
What kind of metal are made for Penny polished? it is a alloy with silver plated? because my penny started to peeled in upper part of the frame.. I am worried!

Might be casting pits that are exposed - don't think there should be anything to peel as such.

Looks more like the AR coating on the lens is starting to peel by the nosebomb, the cleaning hasn't been properly maintained...
