I know this may sound stupid but i'm going to ask it anyway.
I'm curious to find out if there is a way to either cut Half X lenses to look like flak jacket xlj lenses? Or cut Flak jacket xlj lenses for the Half X. I know that is pretty vague. What I am looking to accomplish is to give my Half X a bit sportier of a look and the bottom of the xlj lens shape just might do that. I think it could make the Half X look less meh..

I would try this myself but I have never cut lenses before

To put it out there before someone comes back and says "just get a flak jacket xlj" .. I don't want one

@xmetalmaniac has done a custom lens shape for half-X before; I don't have time to dig around for the post right now but he can do that sort of customization...

It was somewhere in his Mad Science Lounge, IIRC...

those are some cool custom cuts but IMHO, an XLJ cut lense would look better.

I tried the XLJ cut today and didn't like that style on a squarish half-x lens. I ended up taking out so much material to make a rectangular shape that I gave up on XLJ and ended up making an aggressive half-x style instead.

Fire is custom cut; VR28BI is OEM Half-X

I am assuming you want something like this, except with a Half X fitment. I would guess it can be done.
