R2 Gold lens. Inside surface has these colorful spots in the lower section. Absolutely nothing visible when wearing or against a light, just when light reflects off the inner surface at a certain angle, these spots become visible. Pics attached.

What causes this? How serious is it? Does it spread?! To what extend does it reduce value or desirability of an otherwise mint full set?

Thanks for any advice, lens experts.

Since it doesn't affect vision at all, I assume it's not a big deal.... Or does it put people off?

Thanks @THE X-MAN for the info.

Yeah, looks like the AR coating is starting to delaminate. It's more likely to spread than not, and yes, it does affect how you rate the condition and value same as other marks. Sorry.

    Thanks for confirming K323.
I'm sending this back as it was sold to me as in brand new condition!
    'Delamination' - sounds painful!

Yeah I was offered a discount but I'm a sucker for perfect lenses especially in pieces I'm planning to wear often!

Wouldn't be so fussy but I know how hard spares are to find or cut well!
