Tron 3D Gascans

The frame would be impossible. I doubt anyone would try. I'm currently looking for a second pair along with the Troy Lee's. eBay's got the price jacked up though ...

have not seen a fake of the 3D versions so far . . .
but who knows. do you have some pics?

No, no pics were provided. Only a link to the Oakley website with description of the glasses. I know, it's starting to sound more sketchy by the minute. The seller hasn't responded to my email and text message, so either they've sold or something fishy is happening.

Does the sale include the box and paperwork? The box artwork is shiny and very cool.

The bag has Tron design on them too.

What's the price you're getting for them? There's a premium on them as the Tron 3D Gascans sold out very quick. They retailed for $150, but i've seen them go on ebay for around $250 or more.

So if you're going to get them for around $50, which is the typical asking price for a regular gascan, i'd be careful.

The ad says that they're "never worn, still in box". The asking price is $100. That's why I'm excited, but a little cautious.

I'm assuming it's the one that's around $100? I'd be cautious. I'd get some pics or meet him in person if possible. If those are real, that's an amazing deal.

Yup, that's the one...$100. Thanks for the advice, I would like to meet with the seller, but I'm not getting any replies to my attempts to contact him/her. You're right, if they are legit, it would be a great deal.

I would request some pictures. If they are the ones for 100 I would be a little cautious as they were sold at 150 when they came out. The box artwork should be shiny and reflective and the bag should match the glasses. They also should be polished black. Hopefully they work out for you I would love to own a pair one day in the future

Thanks for the advice! I always request to meet CL sellers whenever I make local purchases. In this case, I was even thinking of having the seller meet me at the O-Store to verify authenticity...shouldn't be a problem if they're real, right? If the seller were to decline, then I'd walk. Thanks for the info on what to look for in the genuine articles.

any updates Uluahunter? do you got some pics for us?

Sorry nerd/everyone, the seller isn't responding to my attempts to contact. I'm sure I was one of the first to reach out as soon as the ad came up, but whatever. I'll keep the thread alive if anything materializes.

It would be extremely difficult to fake the lenses for trons. Try them on it should become very apparent whether or not the 3D works...I feel like it would be far too much work to make working 3D glasses and sell them as fake oaks...you never know though

I was thinking about this also...would cloners/fakers/copiers actually go through the trouble of trying to fake these frames and 3D lenses? And if they were, it wouldn't make sense for them to sell them for less than the original price, unless the copies are really obivious.

Well, thanks to everyone for their feedback! I still haven't received a reply from the seller, so I'm assuming they are already sold or this was just a wild goose chase. It would've been a great deal @ $100 and my first actual purchase of a limited edition frame, of any kind. Anyway, I'll keep the thread going if anything new comes up. Wish me luck!!!
