If you can see an iridium coating, then yes gold but if it's not really evident when you move them in the light it could be just bronze. Gold uses a bronze base and the iridium coating is very subtle.

Yep, it was a replacement lens for a while, 16-832 Dark Bronze. Got a BNIB pair here, wondering what I will ever use them for!

Yeah - some R1s without boxes have been listed here recently in the $700 range, but they're not selling; $600 - $650 is a more reasonable ceiling. Subtract $90 - $150 for custom cuts or OEM replacement lenses and that puts you at about $500, max.

Really, I believe a decent "wear pair", including lenses, should run in the $500 - $600 range but nobody's been selling them at that price point for the last few months.

Whether or not being warranty frames affects value depends on the buyer. But it should make less of a (or no) difference to a set already lacking matching box.

These are gold ir polar, for comparison. Looks pretty dang identical.

Try this - hold them in front of your eyes and look in a mirror. If you can barely see your eyes through them in the reflection, I think you have gold.

Selling some basic stuff locally, that I don't think anyone here would want. I have a Ghost Text Gascan with BIP, Ruby, Ice and Emerald lenses, and the Gascan Soft Vault. I was thinking of asking $225 for it and probably take the first $200 that walked my way. Sound reasonable?
