Hey guys new to the forum but I recently found a set of medusa’s with goggles but the gentleman that I acquired them from told me a very interesting story about how he got them and the history of them and its not something to really question because he had shown me photos from around the time he got them directly from jim jannard if anyone cares for me to post the story let me know!

Well im going to copy and paste the story i was told so here : My father purchased it from Jim Jannard. Before he sold Oakley he had owned a funny car. My father owned one as well for a while and they met out at firebird raceway. I was told that Maynard from tool got the first one and I got the second one. I dont know if thats 100% true and I haven't tried to get proof of it. However when I was given this it the goggles weren't even an option. When it became available my dad gave it back to Jim to be modified. Also most of these you will see on the internet will have two metal loops for the chin strap. When it was sent back to be updated with the goggles my dad had them make my chin strap with velcro. This was over 20 years ago and my father has since passed. He bought it for me because I was 18 yrs old and I was a drummer in metal bands. He thought it would look cool if I wore it during performances. I never ended up wearing it for that and have just kept it in storage. I never imagined it would end up being a collectors item.
So this is what I mean by one of one it has a velco chin strap directly modified from oakley

Another thing so you can clear up my doubt, count the dreadlocks, just the dreadlocks, you can see that at the back there is a strap to tie that is not a dreadlock, you don't count that, you just count the dreadlocks
