$500 a month! That’s insane. I pay much less for a family of 4
Yes, and that was just me. It was hard to pay, and almost impossible at times. I wasn't lucky enough to be covered under my parent's plan despite being under 26. Also I made too much to get free health insurance through the state ($8/hour x 40 hours a week x 52 weeks a year = $16,640 so I'm not sure how that's too much!). Trivia fact, obamacare didn't allow EVERYONE to be covered until 26! The years the monthly costs went down the coverage went down and the annual caps went up. At least I survived and I made sure to use my health insurance then!

Is anyone else getting Facebook ads from gun manufactures and tactical apparel right now? I never got them in the past, aside from Grunt Style and Nine Line Apparel, which I wouldn't really consider "tactical apparel" as they're just t-shirts, but since the day after Election Day that's all that I've seen on my Facebook.

No. I think it goes off of your personal history

I pay more in annual taxes than some people make. In other words, I pay too much and get no benefits from the system. Meanwhile there's welfare queens who keep ****ting kids out who have better health care and housing than I do, and I pay for that! I agree that the tax burden is on the middle class, but it should be on all Americans. The tax code does need to be revamped, but it must be fair
I pay a crap ton in taxes as well. Much of this though is due to rich folks not paying their share. If you want to go after 'fairness' that's where I'd focus my energies.

As for social systems/programs... No doubt, others use the system more than I do. Yep, some are welfare cheats. Some drive up service costs. Some use healthcare more than others... in the grand scheme of things though, it doesn't really matter. A social net for everyone is not a bad thing in my opinion even if I don't use it as much as others might. Yes, I pay more in taxes but even if I'm not using it, I know it's benefiting the country as a whole.

End of the day, I think the real problem is that there are tons of really rich people who avoid paying taxes and have shifted the burden to the middle class. THAT is a problem.

Parts of obamacare might be popular, but I hardly doubt the whole thing is popular, so I'm not sure where you're getting that.

Prior to obamacare I paid $50 for health insurance per month. After that bill was passed my health insurance went to over $500 per month and there was no increase in my coverage. At the time I was only making $8 per hour so it's not like I could afford it. My story isn't unique, as I know a lot of people who couldn't afford health insurance so they dropped it. Being covered until 26 under a parent's plan is good, but not everyone was. As for preexisting conditions, I read back then that some plans allowed you to be covered with them as they wanted to be competitive. Health insurance should be like auto insurance in that you can be covered, but the rate will depend on several factors. People who are unhealthy need to pay more as they are using the system more, just like auto insurance.
Obamacare though is a marriage of private/public healthcare. It's a watered down social program. And it's still relatively popular despite it's flaws.

Have you considered hiring a better tax preparer who can help you pay less in taxes? Most of the "rich folks" aren't welfare queens or living on the system. It's the ones who pay $0 in Federal Income Taxes yet live off of the system who needs energies focused on them.

It does matter when it's coming out of my paycheck! I've never lived off of the system, I couldn't being myself to go that low. But I have to pay for those that do. I don't have kids because I have to pay for the welfare queens kids who they **** out every 9 months to keep living off the system. How is this benefitting the country?

Like I said, hire a better tax preparer so you can pay less in taxes. I pay about $2k less than I did before, and that is $2k less in welfare programs so it's a huge win for me! I agree that the middle class has a tax burden but that needs to be spread around fairly. Everyone needs to contribute to this country and not just the tip 1% paying over 70% of the Federal Income Taxes paid while over 50% pay nothing.

I'm not sure where you're getting that it's popular. It's a scam and nothing more. If the insurance companies were allowed to charge more for preexisting conditions and charge based off of use that would be one thing. But to raise my rates over 10x just so that someone who did literally nothing to live a healthy lifestyle is bullshit.
