2025 - New Years Resolution Thread

Aloha Fellow Oakley Forum Peeps,

The New Year (2025) is almost upon us. I have things planned for this coming year and wanted to get started on day1 of the New Year. This is one of the things I plan on doing. Perhaps number 1 on my list. Need to direct funds elsewhere. Planning on NOT buying anything sunglass related. I even plan on selling stuff. But it's not going to be a purge of things I love. Oh no. Lol. Just a few things not getting any face time. Saving for a big change in the upcoming years. I'll either be doing a total rebuild on an older house, or buying something existing. Just planning on if the economy can turn a corner, and wanting to take advantage of better times. I just want to be ready for whatevers coming.

So what are your plans-goals for 2025?

Continue gamifying my savings.
I spent too many years spending and not investing, so I've consolidated my 401ks, bumped my contributions, and started a Roth.
When I'm into something, I get competitive, even if it's with myself, so I'm catching up for lost time.

I have just 2 items remaining on the Oakley want list:
1. One more Gen 1 Double wide aluminum
2. The vintage bike badge

Besides this, slow down and take more vacations.
Considering I have probably lived half my life putting in the blood, sweat and tears to get to where I am today, I’d like to enjoy my second half.

I will resist buying unless it is something that I absolutely must have or to complete a collection. I’d also like to look into customising some pairs I have and most importantly to start selling pairs that made me wonder why I bought them in the first place .
