New Balance 990 V5
Been hearing how nice the V4 is and have been curious. Was able to get these at discount this soon (colorway been out for like a week or so?) because of a store unfortunately closing. I figured I was meant to finally try a 990 today and it would be the V5.
I know I'm way late to NB, although I was aware there has been a strong following . It wasn't hype that made me finally go for it, but just substantiated insight over time. It really hasn't been my type of shoe/aesthetic, and to be honest, I don't think I'll get sucked in. But yeah, the materials and Made In USA craftsmanship, and the ridiculous level of comfort of the 990 are totally there. If this aligned closer to my aesthetic tastes, would've been clear cut the best use of my sneaker spending. But no, I like plastic and shortcuts of Nike/Jordan pairs because nostalgia. V2oak
