Any Sneakerheads In The House?

Yeah you cant go wrong with adidas boost, once you tried it on you don’t wanna wear your other shoes. So Now im having a hardtime on what to wear, and it depends on the occasion on where i go or what will i do if i go out. If i know that i wont be doing any strenuous walking i will wear any of my Jordan Retros and if I know that i would be doing a lot of walking in the mall or anywhere with my family i would definitely wear my adidas boost for comfort with style.

Kyrie IV "Mamba"

I really must admit I don't put in enough time to burn out 3 pairs of these, let alone all the shoes I have. Call it a case of simply buying what I like. This colorway was inspired by the Kobe V from the Prelude Pack. Nike really should've made the toe yellow, but they just kept it as the color peeking under the mess. Guess that's easier to keep clean.

A heads up for anyone considering the pair: it runs a tad smaller in terms of width and length compared to my Venus Flytrap (Mango) and CNY pairs. My toes aren't jamming like a straight up half-size down fit, but they're just barely touching now at the tip. Maybe it's just pure coincidence as the Kobe V was a very true-fitting shoe. The canvas backside runs a bit stiffer than the (synthetic) suede of the other colorways and can bunch up a bit when your flex your ankle.. All upper lace holes are set with plastic eyelets. Toe accent material sucks.

Overall I just like the colorway for being different, only being shared with the very limited Kobe V Prelude. The Kyrie IV in a weird way is like a kid's shoe in terms of aesthetic. Simple with wonky looking features, but it all works. The price always feels good, too, and it's something that makes me second guess other purchases.

Only thing I don't like is that Nike is super slow in giving us more creative colors. The 1-3 came hard more regularly. I don't know why they didn't drop this Volt pair. Dat break, dat continuity, dat leather.

LeBron XV Black/Sail/Cirimson

I knew one way or another, I wasn't stopping at one colorway of the XV. I was contemplating these or the more neutral "Ashes", but ultimately decided I much prefer the expanded use of color here as I can just treat the grey pair as my go-to neutral pair. The fact Sail was selectively chosen over white, and has continuity going up the heel tab; and then the split between blended Ash pattern with the pure black above, topped off with hits, really just did it for me.

I'd say all the XV colorways have been decent. The Graffiti is up there for me but that will be a nightmare to keep clean.

Tried out the Crimson laces from my LeBron 12. A little fade and fraying from age, but mostly there and has "LJ" on the aglets. Went back to black because it was a little too loud for my tastes.

Also taking a shot at using the Wolf Grey laces from my other XV. I found crimson too loud, black too subtle.

I don't like that it adds a 4th color, but find it to work. Just still want something a tad darker to match the Ash color.

Anta KT3 Low x Black Panther

I liked the KT3, but more and more I hated the chore of carefully lacing it up. Black Panther is a beast, and well, of course.

Switching from knit to this textile wasn't a downgrade. It fits and laces up really well. The collar is notably low, with the bootie a bit higher, so your ankles really don't rub anything stiff like with other lows. It seems the last was tweaked as well, as the excess length from the high cut is reduced.

Only thing I don't like are the laces. The interwoven silver strands make them feel stiff, like cheap stiff, but they do work well. I can't abandon them because the aglets have "Black Panther" etching on them as well.

In the realm of lows, they do feel a bit heavier to me at first because they have a pretty wide base. Feeling goes away after a while. I think literally speaking, it's a light shoe. The upper is really minimal.

And then just an hour or so ago, I found a DS return of the Michael Air Jordan 3 "Tinker". I thought I was just walking in to peep the general White/Red 3's that dropped today, so I was in for a real surprise.

Coincidentally, this is like the same nature I got the Black Cement 3, but difference was I had my eyes on this initially. This is also half size down, which works for me given how tight I lace up the other pair at true size. The differences between this Tinker model and the original Michael Air Jordan 3 is the prominent Swoosh and added "Nike" branding on the medial collar, as well as some nods to Tinker Hatfield in the interior.

Functionally the same exact shoe. It's based on the prototype sketch by Tinker, but at that time they were fighting to keep Jordan at Nike and one measure (apart from the 3 being attractive in general to him) was the reduction of Nike branding, and focus on Jordan's own Jumpman logo at the tongue — selling to Jordan that his signature line was to evolve into a brand.

Maybe the most exciting pick up this year along with the Black Cement 3 for me given how unexpected they were.

How does the reserve system work? They automatically charge a card for the latest kicks?

Nop, you will be randomly picked by nike then you will have almost the whole day to purchase it, you will get a notification that a certain shoe was reserve for you until 8pm, and you have the freedom to choose the size you want if you will purchase it for another person, a family or a friend but usually the size will be automatically selected for you. The Off-White Air Jordan 1 UNC today wasn’t a reserve, it was a surprise released by nike, thanks to j23 for the twitt. I will use this as a trade bait or resell it to get what i really want which is the bred toes
