Any Sneakerheads In The House?

Hey bro,

It's no problem, I just figured I would ask. My cousins in the east coast were able to reserve a pair for me, so it all worked out. I'll also be trying to get a pair online too incase someone misses out.

@htrap2294 bro i may missed out can u get a size 10 for me pls?

On a limb, is anyone willing to pick up the Kyrie Low (Grey/Gum) in a size 9 if it's in their area? I'll throw $20 over the retail+shipping cost.

Got em..will be posting to sell if interested

Kyrie Low "Uncle Drew"

A bit of luck. House of Hoops downtown NEVER answers their phone. I show up a week late, they only have half size up, and I felt that was the way to go anyway. The forefoot is a bit tight like I've heard the Kyrie 1-3 were. I'm also starting to find some shoes to cause some toe jamming when the forefoot creases. I actually swapped in a Jordan 14 insole because it's thinner, which helps with some forefoot space as well as planting the heel.

The Low is unfortunately not taking things to another level from the Kyrie 4. It doesn't suck, but it doesn't have the same feeling at the 4. The spacing of the lace rows is more narrow, so now I feel like it's grabbing from the top more than the sides, and I don't feel like I'm "rolling" in/out the same way I would with the 4. The 4 also has a nicer "tub" feeling at the forefoot. Not having actual fit issues, but don't expect something as 1-to-1 like the low-cut Kobe models.

Cushion needs here some break-in at least. I'm not feeling the same Cushlon as in the Kyrie 4 (it probably is Phylon instead). Zoom units are bottom-loaded. Didn't feel anything even with full strides. You can see on the bottom pic that the Zoom units appear to be standard size — so it's not like Nike cheapened out with the stupid hex piece. Seems like it's just the carrier inhibiting any sense of cushion.

I get that guard shoes, and Kyrie's line for the most part, aim to be responsive...but unless this breaks in, seems like the Zoom units are kinda pointless.

The strap does add some containment and doesn't try to get undone when moving, so that's solid. Traction didn't seem to give issues and the pattern works well on pivoting/rotation. Might get shredded sooner than later, though.

Some things to note for this colorway:
Upper is a heavier textile. GR pairs look like they're gonna run some kind of mesh.
There's also a unique fuse application around the toe
Swooshes are nice thick cuts of leather
Tongue might be durabuck. Would've just preferred mesh so it's easier to lace up off the bat.

In all, it really does seem to play out like a Kyrie shoe, but in low cut form as labeled. Just don't expect it to be a direct derivative of the Kyrie 4 in particular, or offer much from the cushion called out on paper.

At the moment Kyrie has his main series and this Low (or start of a low series) at the same price point. Not the typical practice Nike takes when offering low counterparts of a signature shoe. Maybe my issue in the end is that I don't see any clear advantages of this pair. Caters a bit more to people who like the firmer cushion setups found in the Kyrie line. Wouldn't say the cut itself is a deal-breaker because the Kyrie 4's collar is hardly restrictive.

My alternate daily wear ar my J1s.
I still have 3 shoes though that I have'nt worn yet . I'll be surely rocking them in my next International flight especially my blue tints(aka airport shoes) and red cement Js.:)
