What about a pellet rifle. I've knocked down a couple of big rabbits. From about thirty forty yards. Also knock squirrels out of trees all the time.
My rifle only shoots at 800 fps so it isn't going to shoot out windows. If you kill it and it's big enough Good Eats.
If not Find some rubber snakes got mine from a dollar store and walmart. They've helped some. The big thing that I did last year was hung up some CD's they really worked considering how bad the season was in my area. I need to get some pie pans and put them out this year. The CD's had started to peel by the end of season and I don't have any more junk ones.
