Were they SJ arms but just different colorway?

One earstem was in FMJ 5.56mm i believe and the other was the Silver with the frame.

That is a silver arm as well. FMJ and silver look nothing alike. Something happened to the original arm and someone swapped it with another silver at some point most likely. Just like some other pairs there is color variations and not all are exactly the same.

I was thinking it was either the wrong colour(which is the one I went with), or your explaination. Either way, it's of no consequence now.
