This crater is special. The story behind it is simple. A guy in Colorado loved the Crater back in the day so much he bought 15 pair to have for a lifetime. Time passed and he hit a spot in life where he needed money so he sold off most of them a few years ago. Other members and myself were able to secure a few of these STILL SEALED at the time pairs but not cheaply. I way overspent on this just so I could finally have one X metal I broke the seal on and to date I am the ONLY person who has had these on their head. That was ONE TIME just to take a picture and so I could make that statement. These have NOT been worn, only put on once and then displayed.
The arms are FACTORY Stiff and tight
The nosebridge is FACTORY tight
Lenses are STILL NEW
Rubbers are STILL NEW
Box is still in wonderful condition with only a couple very slightly dulled corner. I would still consider them sharp.
The foam is half deteriorated though as time is a enemy of the foam. I tore out the thinner part of it that had gone to goo and it still has the thicker part as pictured for the next owner to decide what to do with it.
All components are present.
THIS IS MUSEUM QUALITY AND NOT YOUR AVERAGE PAIR OF CRATERS!
ONLY REASON IM SELLING IS MY RENT WAS DUE ON THE 5TH.
I paid almost $1400 for this pair still sealed in the box. I figure that privilege of opening it cost me about $100. All said and done my cost hit about $1450 after interest and shipping.
I am asking $1275 PPal FF which puts me at a loss but I am good with it if it gets this stress off my back.
Shipping will be $15 Priority shipped and we can talk cost of insuring it which would add signature confirmation to it at the time of sale. Insurance will be extra.
You WILL NOT FIND A BETTER EXAMPLE OF A CRATER! ANYWHERE!!!! THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME PAIR!
