Completed The Eye Jacket Collection

Really nice collection of Eye Jackets. I recently got ahold of a good condition Moss w/ gold iridium. I was proud I had two now. Hahaha. But seriously, really nice 'collection'. I like how you concentrated on just Eye Jackets. Congrats man. Like I said. Everyone here makes me feel small. NOT.

Thanks Sharky. though my main focus was Eye Jackets I do have Many other frames in my collection. see the link below for everything... However that really needs updated as I purchased many more since I made that post.

So, I Got A Case!

When I watched Jordan play, I should have seen the Oakley eye jacket before, but at that time I was too young to even notice the Oakley brand. It wasn't until I saw Jordan wearing the Oakley eye jacket on different occasions in interviews in "The Last Dance" that I couldn't think about it. It's hard to imagine that it was a design from 30 years ago, and even today it's still unique. Oh my goodness! What did I miss!

I guess I should Update this with some new Pics as I have added the Brain Dead Moonscape, the Piet Safety Orange, the GDLP Lilac.
I had the Collectors X Silver / Prizm Road. But sold it, as it basically the same as the FMJ White / +Red Iridium.
I also have the Brain Dead Planet X / Prizm Violet. But I am not sure if I will Keep it, as it basically the same as Cobalt.

Exactly!! I just realized i started this thread 9 years ago. I think I have done a good job of holding on to them.

What made the original eye jacket so appealing to me was the smooth flowing lines of the frame and the curvature of the lens. Unfortunately that was lost with the redux when they decided to introduce hard angular lines to such a beautiful frame. Still love looking at all the OG options.

I agree, the first time I saw a pair of Eye Jackets, I loved the look. Must have been back in 95. Then later on, about a decade after, I had started collecting, in earnest.
I recognised them again, and learned more about their CNC construction. I loved that total wrapped look, with the smooth curves and the Icons either side. It screamed classy styling and sharp.
