Just a terrible day of delam. Was picking out my glasses for tomorrow and found a Jade Iridium Polar and a Ruby Photochromatic both delamed inside their cases. I think both of these came from sellers from Japan. I dont think lenses do well when they have spent many years in one climate and then get sent to a different kind of climate all together. Bummer

I've had way too many go through that this year. Even some rather new/unused lenses that had been in storage. I guess it's a mix of the storing and the harsh temp/humidity differences here. Some of them have happened right after going out for a run and getting inside somehwere air conditioned (car, building). Lenses are fine during the run. Once the run ends and you're in a climate controlled space, you start to see the flaking start to occur. Super weird.

I think you are right. Its very humid where I live too. I work outside in my glasses, properly clean them, and then they sit in a low humidity, cooled room. I have had probably 6 lenses delam in the past 2 years. I haven't had trouble out of Prizm lenses yet but I know that day is coming unfortunately.

If you store them away slip a silica gel bead bag in with them... I have had pretty good luck and not lost a lens yet (knock on wood) that was not already delamed when I got it.
