I have noticed it being a bigger problem in the last year. I couldn't really tell by the pictures in his listing and purchase a pair of Oakley at Cristmas, had no problem, but in the last 3 months I have received more fakes knockoff of the item I was buying. I brought some makeup and got fake, they did such good job with the fake it was hard to noticed, but I knew something was off because it was the same brand I also buy, the pigment in the color was my indication, and a couple colors were off, and the plastic holder the painting was a little darker, but it you didn't have another one to compare it to and you were new buying it, you would never if know. I have got a quite a few now and, just threw them away because I didn't pay much for it, but this time I just have had it, and my cost was much higher.PayPal is the only protection you have in this post truth digital age and it is gonna get worse. As more and more online multi billion pound monsters slowly erode customer rights.
Only in the last year have I done so. I was just like you and did t bother for a few things over the decades. Until a few months ago I got a lens that was entirely wrong so I thought just return it and I did.
I’ve been on eBay since day one which was around 25 years ago if I remember correctly and it’s only now that I have actually looked closely at what I signed up for.
