HOW MANY OAKLEYS DO U HAVE IN YOUR ARSENAL?

I just joined too. After read through a few pages and I was thinking to myself, " What are these guys do for living to have 100+ or 200+ Oakley sunglasses?"...lol.

For me, after a while on the forum, I'm like, "I wish I had joined / caught the bug when I could get nice used x-metals for $200 - $300 that now goes for 2-4x that, or even lower...

Not that I wish I could have taken advantage of that value then to be able to resell for a profit now, but because I could have by now a much bigger collection with much less investment per piece...

I fear that x-metals are peaking while I'm in my major acquisition phase - price went up when they were discontinued but price will go down as the number of enthusiasts dwindles...

But if you're looking to collect something as an investment to make money later, collectables are a pretty poor choice compared to other options; collect because you're passionate about the collectable, use it because that's what it was made for (just take care of it when you use it), and "F" the resell value; life is short and you can't take it with you...

At most 250 3 years ago and yeah it hurt me financially- foolish spending.... have pared down to 30 flak Jackets and 25 straight jacket II's and liquidated rest. The China stuff being churned out is just made inferiorly. I can't afford to be a "collector" of anything but also remember I never had to spend $ on cellular phones, camera, dvd /vcr players, movies. concerts and went years without a tv at all so that's how I treaded water financially

I don't know if it's as much a "what do folks do for a living" as much as "how long have you been in this game?"
I did an inventory last week, cataloged all on an excel sheet and noted all serials for posterity.
I was at 150 not counting my Mag M's and their assortment of lenses. Not sure how to count those. :)
