How much could i possibly upgrade replica x metal XX?

You need to meet the requirements to see the marketplace. 15 posts and two weeks as I recall. You can bypass all that with a membership.

There are real Juliet’s available here for well below those prices…depending on finish, box or no box. One I recall yesterday was 375.00

With patience you could likely do even better. It’s not about taking the heat…you’re new here. Starting with knockoff questions in a community that does not welcome knockoffs?

Want my two cents…shelve or better yet toss the fake…get to know this community. It’s worth your time 🪖👍

Like I said, I knew were I was posting and just wanted to ask. I didn't mean to disrespect the community by showing out of nowhere asking to make my fake x metals as good as everyone's that have put in the work to keep their original ones in good shape (that would be impossible). Just wanted to ask if i could add some flex by taking out the pins to make them more comfortable with couplers until then. I'll slowly make my way to the market place and eventually join in with some real ones. Juliet's seem to be a bit smaller than what im looking for but i'll keep hunting for the XXs. I appreciate the advice.

Juliet’s are a bit smaller…but also produced in the largest numbers of all X-Metals if memory serves…thus the availability at a more reasonable price.

Even here an XX is gonna cost ya. I only have one in my collection…I’m a Martian at heart but have at least one of each X-Metal.

I certainly did not take your post as disrespectful…but knew you were heading into dangerous territory.

I have a couple fakes…gotten in deals (mostly eBay) or given to me from folks who got them one way or another and wanted a comparison with a model I collect. I posted side by sides for other collectors benefit. Such things. They set in a drawer for comparison purposes.

I got mine for 13 dollars that’s why I was so keen on just messing with them but I’ll keep them around as beaters. Nothing to lose. I’ll start with Juliet’s first then and hold off on the XX. They’re both grails to me so I’d like to end up with a pair of both in my collection some time. Im a fan of anything X-Metal or Software era.

Why spend good money on Linegear lenses that will be worth more than the frame you are putting them in?
That’s valid and something I’ve thought of too. I was just impressed with the value for money of what I got. Frame seems made of some pretty decent metal. Of course it’s not Oakleys recipe and don’t expect it to last but if I could fit those in there they’d make for pretty good daily drivers. And I like the red gradient the linegear lens have.
