Why do third party lens companies have no problem creating lenses for every Oakley glasses but Oakley can’t/won’t . There’s so much pent up demand for original lenses but they don’t even try to supply? Why ?

Buying lenses isn’t going to eliminate the desire to try new styles imo. And it’s a separate but worthy revenue stream for Oakley that is otherwise going to a third party producer.

It might reduce the volume of newer Oakley’s bought by old timers but imo wouldn’t hurt the market for new styles that are popular with younger people.

It’s a win win situation if they start taking care of old collectors we aren’t as big of community as just regular customers that don’t know the value/ history of the brand.
