Hello folks, guess it's time I do an intro...nearly 2 weeks of lurking and occasionally posting and I just kept putting it off. I've been a fan of all things Oakley since my early teen years. Didn't have access to much money when I was younger and my dad would never indulge his kids in such frivolous expenses as "designer sunglasses". Needless to say when I got my first chance to save up some bucks and buy some "wires" thats what I did. I was a sub-zero, m-frame and various wires of the nineties fan up until the x metal line came along. The father of one of my close friends since high-school was an optometrist and authorized Oakley dealer. When my buddy came out fishing one day wearing some Juliet's and I tried them on, felt the texture of that first gen x metal finish...well, I fell in love with Juliet, and everyone else in her family. That was in the late 90's to early 2000's, I didn't pay a lot of attention to the brand throughout most of college. My senior year I dated a girl who gave me a pair of 1st gen TiO2 Juliets...she reignited my passion (in many ways) but I digress...

So fast forward to happily married with 2 children and finally time and resources to pursue a respectable collection. I'm off to a slow start by some standards but by my calculated OCD standards I'm progressing nicely. My top priority for "collecting" is something that I will actually wear, I wont buy it if I wont wear it, after that, x metal is preferred but I'll pretty much go for anything and everything if I think it looks good on my round dome...as long as the wife approves..for the most part. Aside from just sunglasses I am a fan of the watches, hats, and some of the obscure products. I also plan on pursuing some various retail paraphernalia such as displays, signage, racks, posters et cetera, et cetera.
Currently looking for Penny's, and XX, as well as anything TiO2 be it factory or "home made"

I'm in real-estate and energy investment and enjoy golf, PC building/gaming and Xbox, occasional fishing expedition, avid culinary enthusiast...

oh, and I'm long winded. Don't ask if you don't want a dissertation. :blah:
